I relocated to Sydney in January 2010 after living and working in London for over ten years. I'm an Australian resident and plan to make Sydney my permanent home.

As a journalist, my staple work is feature writing. I also write real-life stories, reviews, web content and news articles, and run a very successful blog. 

My blog "Mum's gone 2 Aus" provides essential support, advice and information for families moving to Australia. I launched the blog in July 2010 and it now receives 20,000 unique visitors a month and over 120,000 page views. I publish new content three times a week and manage a growing community of followers on Twitter and the Mum's gone 2 Aus Facebook page.

In London, I had a monthly column in Families South West, a parenting magazine with a distribution of 40,000 in South West London.  I covered topics such as postnatal fitness, green and ethical gifts, and parent coaching.  I was also responsible for education news and feature articles for the Families franchise a magazines with a monthly print run of 500,000 across the UK. I was a 'Community Correspondent' for the Wandsworth Guardian, contributing monthly online news articles. I have written in print for That's Life, Sweet, In London and The London Paper.

I'm a Modern Languages and Computer Science graduate, I speak fluent French and excellent Italian. Upon graduating I threw myself into a career in Information Technology that was rewarding and challenging. In 2008, looking for a career that would be flexible and fit in with my growing family, I "retired" from IT to focus on writing. In 2009 I completed my Diploma in Professional Freelance Journalism with the British College of Journalism.  

My blog is an excellent showcase for my writing and demonstrates my ability to research and write regular, fresh, inspiring and high quality web content. I have gained significant experience in social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter), blogging software (WordPress), analysis tools, online community management, and search engine optimisation (SEO).
